Medical and Specialty Contact Lenses

The clinicians at the USC Roski Eye Institute provide unique expertise and over a decade of experience in fitting a variety of specialty contact lenses, including rigid gas permeable, hybrid, multifocal, and scleral contact lenses. These special lenses are often used to treat patients with irregular cornea shape and dry eyes that have not responded to traditional therapy.

In addition to many types of specialty contact lenses, USC Roski Eye Institute offers Prosthetic replacement of the ocular surface ecosystem (PROSE) treatment, a non-surgical option for patients who suffer from serious corneal conditions and ocular surface diseases. PROSE treatment utilizes a software program that allows the clinician to design highly customizable devices for complex eye shapes and surfaces. The USC Roski Eye Institute is one of 2 locations in California to offer this treatment, and one of only 16 nationally.
