The Transfer Center serves as a gateway for requests from other facilities to send patients to an inpatient bed at Keck Medicine of USC or USC Norris Cancer Hospital. Rapid Transfer Program

As a regional leader and provider for tertiary and quaternary services, the Keck Medical Center of USC offers immediate access to lifesaving care for patients with need for emergent treatment. The Transfer Program at USC is designed to transfer critically ill patients to Keck Hospital of USC for procedures or treatments that cannot be provided at their hospital of origin.

Currently, Keck Hospital of USC manages ambulance or air transport transfers for patients with acute cardiovascular conditions, neurological and neurosurgical emergencies, GI bleeds, and other acute urgent orthopedic and reconstructive surgical needs, as well as a number of other urgent and emergent conditions. A rapid admission process ensures there are no delays in patient care.
