Vision research at the USC Roski Eye Institute is grounded in basic science and engineering disciplines, including cell and molecular biology, chemistry, biochemistry, neuroscience, physiology, pharmacology, nanotechnology, and biomedical engineering. Investigations range from studies of the role of single molecules in the visual process to the development of implantable devices for people with impaired vision. The leading-edge scientists and clinician-scientists conduct pioneering research that contributes to a greater understanding of the visual process, causes of vision impairment, and development of therapeutic interventions.
Due to ongoing developments with COVID-19, we are only able to see patients with urgent eye problems at this time. If you have any questions or concerns, please call us at 323-442-6335.
