It is our pleasure to welcome you to the USC Roski Eye Institute. Every day we strive to enrich the lives of our patients through exceptional and compassionate clinical care. We bring the most innovative research to our work, ensuring that new knowledge will inform and strengthen what we offer our patients. And, as a distinguished academic medical center, we are inspiring the next generation of ophthalmology leaders with top-flight educational programs.

We share a bold mission — ending vision loss and blindness. Our world-class team is extraordinary in its pursuit of transforming the lives of those who face one of humankind’s greatest fears — loss of sight.

While our mission is bold, we are systematically and relentlessly pursuing this mission through every available channel. Our success depends on:

Being at the Forefront of Vision Research

Our gifted experts in vision science continue to push the edges of discovery, conducting unprecedented research across disciplines that have forever changed the lives of the visually impaired. Our innovative and interdisciplinary initiatives have led to major breakthroughs in the diagnosis and treatment of vision-related diseases and disorders.

Ensuring Our Patients Come First

Through compassion and dedication we seek to connect with our patients on a personal level, crafting the very best solutions to the challenges our patients face. Good enough is never good enough. Bench scientist, front-line physician, staff — we all collaborate across disciplines to serve those affected by vision loss. USC physicians have been proudly practicing at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) for 85 years, and today, the CHLA Vision Center is staffed by USC ophthalmologists helping to protect, preserve and restore sight in children.

Creating the Leaders of Tomorrow

As a preeminent institution, we attract the best, the brightest and the fiercely dedicated. The USC Roski Eye Institute includes more than 30 full-time leading-edge clinicians who provide comprehensive and subspecialty ophthalmology care to a wide variety of patients. Our clinicians are committed to educating our future ophthalmologists and supplying the world with the next generation of leaders in vision care.

We are the patients, families, clinicians, researchers, teachers, students, and dedicated staff members who make up the USC Roski Eye Institute and we will continue to explore new frontiers in preserving, protecting and restoring the gift of sight.
